On April 4 th and 5 th , 2023, Hawaii Polo Life was proud to host a trunk show for women in polo, allowing Argentine designers to showcase their products in an exclusive shopping experience. Female polo athletes, and the wives of polo stars, gathered together at Chris Dawson’s home for this amazing opportunity. The impressive brands – all founded by women – are located in both the U.S. and Argentina.

Hawaii Polo Life’s journey is inextricably linked to Argentina. The history of the Hawaiian Kingdom's relationship with the South American country goes back centuries, all the way to King Kamehameha I, the first monarch of the islands. In 1818, the great ruler began Argentina's first international treaty. And under his leadership, Hawaii became the first nation to recognize Argentina's independence.

The vision for Hawaii Polo Life was inspired by Chris Dawson’s waterman background on the beautiful waves of Hawaii – and his deep love for the sport of polo. Through hard work and determination, the brand became what it is today: a powerful fusion of ocean and polo culture. Chris’ goal for HPL is also to support Hawaii International Polo Association, whose mission is to grow the sport by giving work and polo development opportunities to the people of Hawaii.

This special edition of HPL x Rocio G line was inspired by the beauty of Hawaii and the artisanal handcrafted leather goods from Argentina. It was a natural collaboration from our mutual love for nature, polo and craftsmanship.

Hawaii Polo Life is on the move to making environmentally conscious decisions. Just like you, we are passionate about protecting our oceans and planet. This year, we decided to go the extra mile to be ethical in our practices by creating a women's activewear line using eco-friendly fabrics.
